My name is Wendy Van de Walle, and while I like to think of myself as many things, one of the most defining over the past few years has been as a stage IV cancer survivor. Of course, as a survivor you are only as healthy as your last scan, which in my case is a quarterly brain MRI. I have been in remission now for 2 1/2 years.
How I remain sane and and thrive while dealing with this constant uncertainty is the subject I hope to explore in this blog. I am an optimistic person and, in many ways, a happier person than I was before my diagnosis. My daughter Casey actually calls me Zendles these days. Hopefully my experience will inform and inspire others along the way.
